Microblading

What is the difference between Microblading, Ombré, and Combo Brows?
Microblading is a method to mimic the look of hair strokes. It is extremely natural once healed and is perfect for someone who doesn’t want a filled in or “make-up look”. Ombre brows is a technique used with a handheld machine to create a more filled in make-up look. Ombre is an amazing technique for individuals with oily to problematic skin. The combo brow is a mixture of microblading and ombre where microblading strokes are placed in the front of the brow then fading to ombre through the middle and back of the brow. Combo can also be microblading throughout the entire brow with a little shading throughout the center to create depth.
What is the healing process like?
The healing process takes about 2 full weeks. Everyone’s healing process is different as some people will scab and some people will flake. Do not pick the scabs or flakes as this can cause damage to the skin. The color will seem quite dark and will get darker within the first day or two and lighten up about 20-40% over the course of the two weeks. The color takes about a full month to completely set in.
How long does it last?
Permanent cosmetics normally last between 1-3 years before needing a touch up. The longevity of the tattoo depends on many factors including skin type, age, and skincare routine. For microblading we normally recommend yearly touch ups to keep the pigment fresh and strokes crisp as microblading is the most superficial of all brow tattooing. For ombre we normally recommend 1.5-2 year touch ups. Clients can let brows fade over time, but being a tattoo there may always be a slight hue remaining.
